Lady Liberty
Lady Liberty
the mother of exiles, the golden lamp of truth
Handmade from sterling silver and 18k gold, Lady Liberty symbolizes the true spirit of freedom, based on Emma Lazarus' beautiful poem. She is the Mother of Exiles: the welcoming mother to those seeking refuge. Her body is carved from a recycled piano key, and her features delicately scrimshawed by hand. The necklace is reversible - showing the natural stone on the back - and beaded with natural gemstones. Lady Liberty holds her golden lamp against the darkness, reminding us to hold true to our values of hope and compassion. She measures 2.5" x 0.9".

Each goddess necklace is signed on the bottom by the artist, with a removable gemstone chain. The standard beading length is 19" but can be strung to any length.
The New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
