Tinuviel the Elf Maiden
Tinuviel the Elf Maiden
immortal love, strength in the face of obstacles
Handmade from sterling silver and 18k gold, Tinuviel, also known as Luthien, was an Elf maiden from Tolkien’s classic Lord of the Rings series. She was the most beautiful of all the Children of Iluvatar to ever live and gave up her elven immortality for the love of a human man, Beren. Tinuviel’s father forbade the match and gave Beren the impossible task of taking a Silmaril from Morgoth’s Iron Crown, but together the couple did the impossible, and their love story was one of the greatest ever told. Her body is carved from a recycled piano key, and her features delicately scrimshawed by hand. The necklace is reversible - showing the natural stone on the back - and beaded with natural gemstones. Tinuviel measures 2.5" x 1.25".

Each goddess necklace is signed on the bottom with the artist’s hand stamp, with a removable gemstone chain. The standard beading length is 19" but can be strung to any length.
Tinuviel is a legendary elf maiden from the prequel to Lord of the Rings… which originally inspired me to become a jeweler! While watching The Return of the King in Italy in 2004, I realized that I could actually make Arwen’s incredible tiara and set out to do just that. I made tiaras for years and years and still own my original.
